This is a typical Disney movie, in a positive sense, that show and teach kids (and also adults) about imagination, courageous, persistence, the power of dream, family value, etc. Same ingredients, different scripts.

Tomorrowland will bring you to the future world with all the perfection and state of the art technology, anything that kids could've thought of, with nice animation and portrayal of future city, transportation, people, with also the touch of fun inside. The era where human can time travel, master the quantum mechanic and use it to ease the life.

All is great, all is beautiful, all is encouraging... But the story is just so typical and predictable, i kind of regret to see the movie just before the first half ended, and hope it will end soon, I think I'm not the only once since I watch few people left the theater before the movie ended :(. This movie is like The Matrix meets Back To The Future, so last year and easily forgettable. Not a really pleasant way to spend my two hours..

Working with a general summation of art, no artist really revisits their creation. Yes they might hark back to a few individual themes, but no one really gets down to recreating a piece of art, as it was. Especially not when its a classic. Da Vinci never sat down to paint another Sistine Chapel. Rabindranath Tagore did not recompile the Gitanjali. Even the great Yash Chopra never really got down to refilming one of his classics. It boils down to impulse and lack of design playing an important serendipitous role in creating great art.

But when you do attempt to be over ambitious and recreate a Hindi film in Hollywood, chances are you'll end up with a novice creation. That's how you could describe the journey of Parinda to Broken Horses.   Lost in translation would be an understatement. The original story of Parinda, two brothers in the edgy midst of the underworld, trying to break free from a mercurial Mafia king pin, is intact in its Western retelling. Mumbai's underbelly has been replaced with the barren border terrain of the US-Mexico border. The characters are all white. The emotions are all scattered. The story is in shambles. Sixteen years ago, in a film industry obsessed with curry westerns and Oxford Street fashion, Parinda was a game changer. Broken Horses is just a shoddy revisit of that memorable film. Worst part is, it's left out all the good parts of the original.   The manic intensity of Nana Patekar's Anna is replaced by some textbook hamming by Vincent D'Onofrio. The sacrificing big brother character of Jackie Shroff is replaced by the theatrical and clichéd simple boy played by Chris Marquette. The ahead-of-its- time love making scene has been conspicuously left out.

The vengeful drama in the climax has been convoluted into an uninspired piece of writing. Even the supporting character of Iqbal, the younger brother's confidant is reduced to a razzie material stereotype. Something's amiss in Vidhu Vinod Chopra's execution. This is the same filmmaker who made Parinda and Khamoshi. Yet, his vision on Broken Horses exhibits an uncharacteristic novice nature.    Surprisingly the amateur efforts, aren't just limited to the story telling. Barring some excellent cinematography, the production as well as costume work is very lacklustre. The visuals look good, but everything else in the making of this motion picture doesn't seem to well thought out. The ranch, where all the drama unfolds looks like an amusement park for God's sake. The performances are all sub standard barring the efforts of Anton Yelchin. He lends some credibility to this movie.   Films are just another form of art. They benefit from the inspirations and enthusiasm of their creator. Like any other form of art, they can suffer if the vision is skewered or contrived. In his ambitious Hollywood foray, Vidhu Vinod Chopra wanted to prove that Indian filmmakers are better than just song and dance junkies. That we can match Hollywood's game in their playing field. And therein lies the biggest flaw. Imitation might be the sincerest form of flattery. But end of the day, flattery is also described as pleasing self- deception.

NH10 is a film staying true to its genre and certainly not for the typical Bollywood audience. Its raw, violent, gripping and showcases the powerhouse Anushka Sharma who probably gives her best performance till date. The story follows a couple Arjun (Neil Bhoopalam) and Meera (Anushka Sharma) who go out on a road trip to celebrate Meera's birthday. Things go horribly wrong when they cross roads with a gang of aggressive men who were torturing another couple for some personal reasons. Arjun is hell bent to interfere with their matter and our reaction is just like Meera's shouting "why Arjun why??" Anyway if he had left them alone we would not have edge-of-seat experience that follows. Things turnout to be even more scary with we get deep insight into the height of corruption and household violence in rural India. And in the end, the film speaks highly of Woman Empowerment with a rather shaky approach.

The film starts a bit slow, but I feel it was necessary for character build-up. The patient wait is rewarded with an amazing finale featuring the bad-ass Anushka Sharma unleashed. I would gladly watch the last 10 minutes of the film on repeat and cheer up like a kid. Her every expression be it fear, pain, agony or desperation were spot on. The screenplay is not quite unpredictable but it somehow manages to keep you on your toes with the atmosphere and background score. Many of the character behaviors feel illogical like Arjun showing off his macho- ism trying to face the goons single handed. Also in finale it anyone of those goons could have easily slipped away from the street, a single SUV could not have entirely blocked the road. Anyways ignoring a few loopholes here and there NH10 is still a fine film. It could have a lot more with better screenplay and direction. Overall its a breath of fresh in Bollywood and a satisfying thriller.

Movie is worth watching.. It has many spoilers but still the plot, music, visuals, direction and SUNNY LEONE make it a nice watch.. Music is really too good and carries a perfect absorption in the movie Sunny leone has groomed a lot in her acting skills The movie could have been improved much but still what made is good enough and something we could expect from a debutant director and a new actor Sunny Leone as she never did roles that demanded appropriate acting skills One more thing to be appreciated is that the movie contains minimum sex content by sunny leone by whom she is generally known it has a good combination of drama, comedy and romance so go for it and finally the gorgeous sunny has started her proper acting career go wish her luck!!
